I have two issues. First is that i can't get the "front" panel leds working because the plug is too big in the gene(like there is a hole in the middle of 2 connectors). Also i have a problem with my asus dc2 780 because i can't install it correctly because the pci express bracket that keeps the covers in place is in my way so i can't screw it in correctly. Thank you for your attention and everyones opinion counts.

ssddx, Your solution was removed at the request of the OP(Accidentally pressed the best solution button).

I recommend checking the local computer stores to see if they have the 3 pin plastic part from an old system that is ready to be tossed. Even an old pc speaker cable will work(and is easy to cut/file down to 3 pins).

The actual connectors are rather easy to remove from these types of connectors.

You just lift the small tab with a screw driver or exacto(utility) knife. No not lift too much as the tabs can break.

At that point the wire and connector slides right out and can be slid into a new connector. The down side to this is that you need to find another connector...
It may help to include images if these issues. I have had LED's that needed the wires moved over sometimes, but never unable to plug in.

Sounds like you may have a 3 pin wide led cable, those are the ones that sometimes need a wire moved in the board uses a 2 pin for the power led. An image will make it very clear for us.

For the video card you can not just remove the bracket from the case get the card installed then reinstall the bracket?

I actually look forward to seeing your views on the case when the build is done.

I can not recommend running the 2 connectors bare as they can short out. In a pinch you may be able to tape or shrink them to avoid this, but finding and old pc speaker or other set of connectors from a computer should not be too hard.

Solution
my 1x1's came from old cases.

Before usb was standardized, cases has all the connectors single. same for audio.

Willing to bet you can get them on digikey or other sites, but the shipping cost for so few parts would not be worth it.

wrighthobbies.com also sells them(not 1 x 1, but 2 upto 8 in a row), but again. the parts are cheaper than the shipping.
