This problem happened about weeks ago. Suddenly, the network connection icon in the system tray (The one with the signal strength bars) pops up a red X. But on the contrary, I connected to my home network and browse web just fine. I thought that was some little error, so I restarted my laptop. Nevertheless, I restarted more than 3 times and it still showed that red X. In some cases, the red X is gone but replaced by orange-ish star, while still connected to Internet.

I browsed through Google for this problem, and suggested that I should uninstall all Network Adapters and reinstall. I thought that was too risky, as I thought that I can not connect to Internet forever as the worst case scenario.

What am I gonna do? Should I take the "Uninstall Network Adapters" solution?

Thanks

P.S I'm using Windows 7
