i have p 3 desktop having 512 ram and newly installed xp window but video is frezzing in my desktop..can anyone help me...3gp video are playing with out freeze..what can i do

i have a laptop from '06 that has 512mb ram and it is rather adequate (provided i did add an ssd). it doesnt handle video playback all that well except if i use something like vlc player but for browsing, it's fine.
