Hello, I am quite new to building a pc but have put one together and brought legit windows 8.1, when installed to ssd using disc the first time it starts up fine and gets me to the he screen where I can update use apps everything with the disc in, when I remove disc and turn off computer it starts up and first windows sign comes up and then crashes with the background colour the same as my home screen colour! It then does nothing. I thought might be ssd so installed it to my 1 tb hhd and it's the same. I've changed all boot options and removing hhd while using ssd, anyone any ideas ??? I'm all out

Windows 8.1 crashes on startup

Yeah an get in bios and change everything without crashing, just when I try and boot up, originally I thought was ssd but I changed it to hdd and was the same so not so sure. My ram is only reading 1333 when it is 2400 I've changed this to 2400 but didn't help, bios is back to default now
When I first install it it's fine everything fast and smooth I've updated windows when it first starts and searched for more updates and done them. I haven't tried another so as haven't got any more just spent 80 on this one :/, thanks though
Ok, I have system restored it and chosen not to do auto updates, it restarts with no problems, it is not noticing the graphics card and says basic display adapters. When I try install nvidea drivers it crashes and I have to do full restore again, gotten drivers from nvidea website and disc that came with gpu anyone help me !! Please
