My daughter was playing on my home PC, the computer shutdown and on restarting the pc, I can hear the fan running and the power light comes on. But there is no light on the keyboard, mouse and screen. I have checked all power cables and reinserted the mouse, keyboard and screen, however this has not worked. Can anybody help.

Could you elaborate? Was she just clicking stuff on the desktop or was she physically messing with components while the computer was running? Or...?

remove your ram modules and check if you get ram beep (to ensure your mobo is ok)

if you are using a graphic card ensure that it is ok (test in in another pc)

lastly....remove all the front panel connectors from your mobo, including the power and reset switch. turn on your pc by short circuiting the 2 pin of the power switch...see if that works (many a times the power switch or reset also gets damaged causing such a problem)
