hi guys.. ill looking for a upgrade for my rig...
and i have several question

is my corsair vs 450w enough for an radeon r9 270 ?

and will it bottleneck my cpu?

my rig:
asus p8h61-m LX R2.0
core i3-3210
radeon hd 7750 gigabyte 2gb
6 gb ram
1 HDD 250gb
Corsair vs 450w

thanks before ;)

Solution
450W is enough to run that GPU.

And the GPU being the bottleneck is what you want to happen.

CPU being the bottleneck means you don't get the full potential of the GPU. You should be more worried about this.
Your i3 will do fine in average games but might become a bottleneck on very CPU demanding games.

If you're not planning to crossfire then 450watt is the right amount.
Your CPU will not bottleneck your GPU, it just gives you lower performance. You may ask how do I define bottleneck, I would define it as a outdated CPU plus a good GPU. My last CPU was Athlon 64 x2 5200+, this CPU really bottlenecks my R7 260x, it gives me unstable frame rates, that's how I define bottleneck.

A CPU bottleneck is when the CPU is unable to issue enough draw calls to fully utilize the GPU. For example using a Pentium 4 to run the GTX Titan. And if switching to a better CPU significantly increases performance, the previous CPU was being a bottleneck.

Just get that R9 270 you wanted, it will be fine.

Even if the CPU bottlenecks now, you can upgrade it later.

When you have saved up more money, you can change it to an i5-3570k which is much better and will last you a very long time. You will not need a better PSU to make that upgrade.
