SLI - same card, different manufacturers

I have a gigabyte gtx 660 non-ti, is it possible to use sli with an asus gtx 660 or does it have to be exactly the same card?

should be. I mean the only thing that the different compagnies change is the coolers and maybe overclock it abit, but same card.

Nope its fully possible, nothing wrong here, if one card is for example 925mhz and the other 900, one will downclock automaticly to adjust itself to the slower card.

I did it for quite a while - an EVGA GTX 460 and a Gigabyte GTX 460 . They were different clocks but they will both work together at the lowest clock between the 2. I used MSI Afterburner to adjust the clocks any way.
