8 gig of RAM is plenty for 95% of uses, are you doing any heavy image or video processing? You won't see much of a difference in going from 8 to 16 gig of RAM under normal use, or even games.

8 gig is enough and 16gb is just a bottle neck ,you wont get much performance off your machine maybe 5 fps more while gaming upgrade to a ssd rather than a ram its much faster a sata 2 256 gb would be in your budget and a ssd is much better than ram upgrade............
