specs: i5 3570k, 8gb 1600mhz ram, radeon hd 7970 psu 650watt 80+
motherboard is a asrock pro3 z77
so yesterday i updated my gtx 660 to a radeon 7970 the 660 used the pci-3 slot so after removing the nvidia drivers i put in my new card but couldnt get a screen on... then i used the gpu in the mobo where i got a screen i then proceded to download the drivers for my new gpu, and restartet yet i couldt see it in device manager...
then i removed the gpu put in my 660 again and that worked fine..
after a while i tried the pci-2 slot with my 7970 and that worked perfectly... so
how come i can't use my pci-3slot for my radeon 7970 but it works for a 660?
I EVEN downloaded the newest bios driver aswell yet no luck

hope someone can help me as i want to set my gpu in crossfire soon

well the PCIe 3.0 x16 Slot didnt cooporate with my 7970 so had to use the pci2 slot that you usually use when having a crossfire setup
