Dual Channel Mode?

I am planning to upgrade my laptop memory which has got 4GB preinstalled

Details about my memory
Brand : NANYA TECHNOLOGIES
DDR3-1600
11-11-11-30 CAS LATENCY

now planning to buy "Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) Laptop RAM (CMSX4GX3M1A1600C9) "
which has got 9-9-9-24 CAS LATENCY

Question is after installing the corsair ram will it be running in dual channel mode???

I wouldn't buy that ram I would find a kit that was 11-11-11-30 timings. It also depends if the 4gb that are on it now is 2x2gb or 1x4gb... also do you know for a fact that you have an open slot for memory on the laptop?

Okay I would still find memory that already matches the specs you have, shouldn't be hard to find. The memory can only run all at one speed and since its a laptop I'm sure you have little to no bios memory control so try to find a CL11 kit.
