I had been trying to get the AP mode to work using Bluetooth, wireless and Ethernet but when enable it pop up a message and said this:
Warning! Enable AP Mode function fail, please check network connection then restart AP mode again.
Any solution?

COuld be a whole host of things at play here. First of all I would confirm you are using the latest UEFI versin and AI Suite install for your board and take it from there.

Might be worth listing how the network connection you are sharing is connected to the board etc..

I'm using a direct cable to my PC, I can use internet on my PC but when I try to use the AI suite AP mode it failed. As you probably know Asus Z87 pro got a dual band antenna, and I had connected to the motherboard correctly, but only the bluetooth light is on, the other green light is off.

Yes I'm using Win 8.1, and I just brought my motherboard for like 1 week and was trying to figure out how to get AP mode to work. On my control panel in the network adaptor list, I had only got 3 and they are:
- Bluetooth Network Connection
- Ethernet (This is enable for using internet for my PC)
- Wifi (I can use this for internet on my PC too)

I'm sure something is missing in here because there is no adaptor for the Dual Band Antenna, but when I try to setup a new connection using the router option it couldn't find any new device.

Any suggestion? or do you want to access my desktop to see what is missing?

Did you ever figure this out, Shinya? I'm having the same problem and this thread is the *only* thing popping up on Google about it. It seems like you and I are the only 2 people in the entire world having this problem. Imagine that!!

This is driving me crazy. F.U. "FUNCTION FAIL"!!!

Hi, I had the not-quite-the-same problem but I got the same error message when trying to turn on the AP. This is how I solved it:
I noticed the Wi-Fi adapter "Qualcomm Atheros AR946x Wireless Network Adapter" in my network adapters-list (Network and Sharing Center >> Change Adapter Settings) had somehow become DEACTIVATED. It was then only a matter of reactivating it and reinstalling the ASUS Bluetooth 4.0 Wi-Fi Driver that came with the Support CD.

SO PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM! Check that you have your "Qualcomm Atheros AR946x Wireless Network Adapter" set to ACTIVATED in the adapters list.

Hope this helped someone :bounce:

edit: I have the Z87-PRO Motherboard and Win7 64-bit. (Other specs shouldn't matter)
