1600mhz RAM not working on Gigabyte GA G41 combo motherboard

hey guys i just bought a corsaire xms3 CMX4GX3M1A1600C9 for my motherboard
but my comp is unable to boot

pls help

p.s:before purchasing it i confirmed that it will work from one of the thread posted here by me

Whats your system specs bro

maybe i can help you better if i know whas inside. yuo cant run ddr2 and 3 in the same pc. and your memory speed has to be supported by your motherboard (e.g say running a Core 2 duo with ddr3 800 you can install ddr3 1333mhz memory it will run at 800mhz speed of the s

That mobo allows for DDR2 or DDR3 to be used individually. If you are mixing DDR2 and 3 then it will not work. Can you give any more details on your PC?

processor: E7500 core 2 duo 2.93ghz
mobo: Gigabyte GA g41 combo
earlier ram: 1gb kingston 800mhz ddr2

Did you update your bios? I would put old memory back in, update the bios and try again that is possibly the issue.

from where willl i get the bios update??
is it a normal installer or do i have to boot with it ??

take out the old memory and put the new one in if it doesnt work put the old one back and go with a bios update

test each dimm individually before you pair them

It is a boot type of install. needs to be on a USB drive, and already unzipped.
