I want to buy some new ram for the pc that im currently building i am using - GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-DS2 AMD A88X motherboard and im wondering if i should buy 8gb of ram that is 1066 mhz as its cheaper? Im making this pc a gaming pc
If you are actually using an APU on that board then you'll want at least 1866 cl8 or 9 memory. If you're running an athalon on it then its not as important but I would still get at least 1600 MHz memory as its usually not a lot more.

sorry im really bad with this kind of stuff, what do you mean if im using an APU? Is it something to do with CPU? My cpu is:
AMD A6-5400K 3.6GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Processor. Im just wondering if i should get the 1066 MHz as its so much cheaper and then i would have money to buy a graphics card for my pc as well.
you definatly want 1866 cl 8 or 9 memory then, dont' get slow memory as it will make the graphics on your computer much worse than they have to be. Fast memory does wonders for onboard video which is what you have!

Thank you very much! i will probably get 2 x 4GB 1866 MHz as i do want decent graphics. Thank you for the help again
