Hello!!
Tried all sorts of help but no luck yet so am trying here with some hope
!
The basics of my problem are that I have an IDE HDD that boots up fine with my pc, but when I put it in my girlfriends old pc it doesn't. It gets stuck either at the windows loading screen with the blue dots that go across, or it disappears and I get a blank screen. I have no idea why this would be. I have been into the BIOS and changed the boot up option to this HDD, also disconnecting all the other ones.
As an extension to this, I have only really tried to do this as the HDD in my girlfriends pc had stopped booting, it gets stuck at the SAME point that mine now does when I put it in. BUT, her one also boots up on my pc! I have tried safe mode, but it stops at agps440.sys, or whatever that one is called, and goes no further.
Is there anything I can do? I don't have installation CDs for either copy of windows as they cam preinstalled and where I got mine from doesn't exist anymore.
I don't know if this is in the right thread or anything either so apologies if it isn't. So if someone can help me it would be much appreciated - I've been at this for 2 days now
