I have an AMD machine that's about 2 1/2 years old. I recently built a new machine so I gutted it for the gpu and nothing else. The AMD machine's primary purpose is to now be used as the "family" computer. However, since taking out the GPU, I keep facing a black screen after the mobo splash screen.
Here are the sequence of events:
Mobo splash screen -> machine checks for the status of mediums/slave drives -> Mobo splash screen -> blank screen.
I have no clue what's going on here. I don't think there's anything actually wrong with the mobo itself since I can get into the bios and edit settings before it gets to the black screen. The SSD and HDD are both recognized in BIOS as well so I don't think it's a matter of not being able to boot into the Windows drive.
Any ideas?
