Help building dream computer

I've never built a full computer before, and I REALLY REALLY want to. I've been planning sort of what I want to do with it and what I want in it, so any help, tips, or maybe advice on build the computer will be nice.

I assume my budget will be around $1,000 - with a little wiggle room possible, nothing crazy.

Things I want in it by default:
- 6 or 8-core CPU, depending on the build
- At least 8GB+ of RAM
- Windows 7, none of this Windows 8 crap.
- At least 1.5TB of HDD space, no SSD's.

What I expect from the machine:
- Hardcore gaming. I want it to be able to handle my games reliably. Some games I currently play are World of Tanks, War Thunder, Team Fortress 2, Natural Selection 2, Day of Defeat Source. I know they're not crazy intensive games, because my computer can't handle anything more than that.
- Future proof. I Know it'll sound stupid, since future proofing a computer is pretty impossible, but I mean extra places to put newer and better items, so I can easily expand without shelling hundreds on other hardware just to fit the new stuff.
- Video streaming. I'm addicted to Youtube, so I want it to be able to handle 1080p stuff without too much hassle, which I guess comes with the package, but who knows.

What I don't want:
- Un-needed gear like Wireless cards, sound cards, dual video cards, SSD's, huge HDD's, liquid cooling.

Any input is greatly appreciated :) thanks!

I changed my build after I submitted since I forgot to include an OS. Yes they are all compatible, but you would also need to figure in another $90 for Windows 7. The AMD build has everything for $1000. The i5 is a better CPU for gaming, if you want to spend a little extra I would get it over the AMD build.

I like this build a lot, all these parts are compatible right?

you could use something similar to this

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2mr9u

just bump up to a 1.5tb and add windows

there really is no future proofing. both am3+ (amd) and 1150 (intel) arent going to be supported forever. if you got a new cpu it would involve getting a new mobo.

an intel i5 chip (and a socket 1150 motherboard) is going to be a bit faster than the amd build but will cost $130 more for the same option of overclocking. intel commands a price premium right now.

This one should do it as well; it's got an i5 and a 760, and while the 760 may not be the most powerful card around, it'll run everything you want it to pretty darn well.

I built my Dream Machine back when the 560 Ti 448 core was the hot item and I love my machine. Everything I throw at it runs flawlessly and looks awesome. Down the road I may be in the market for a bigger SSD.

Cheers all and Happy Holidays to you all and your loved ones!
