Sell my hd 7950 for a gtx 770?

With the huge price increase on AMD GPU's, I am strongly considering selling my 7950 and buying a small upgrade to a gtx 770. When the price on AMD products eventually drops to the original $399, I might sell the 770 and go for an r9 290x. Is this a good Idea?

I bought my 7950 for only 200, so (I'm pretty sure) I'll get some very nice value out of it, since they're going for 300+ on ebay. I'm more in it for the upgrade than the money.
