Hi, I'm having a hard time finding an answer for this...

I purchased G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-231-428

Running Z87-A with i7 4770k.

I am reading about it and it says it is compatible with 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen intel, but doesn't say anything about Haswell and I can't find a definite answer in forums...

It'll work fine. Odds are either Newegg or G.Skill simply didn't update that line in the product description when Haswell was released. Having that line in the description is somewhat misleading anyway, and is just a way to target unsure consumers. That RAM would also work in a Core 2 board that supports DDR3, except you couldn't use the XMP setting since that didn't exist back then.

I have that exact model memory running on a z87 a with 4770k. It works fine.
