Just like the title says I need to choose memory for my first build, I'm using ASUS M5A97 R2.0 or ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 haven't decided yet, FX 6300, and a CM 212 EVO, have in mind that where I live all memories are priced almost the same (I know is weird) so without going overboard no price criteria, and please if you have a good suggestion be specific because I can't differentiate between the different g.skills with their codes.

Sorry about the bad english, and thanks to anyone who can recommend something.

If they are all the same price the best kit is certainly the top set, 2133 MHz with CL9 if you want the ares, only other option as far as a similar kit goes are the 2400 MHz tridents... Now no matter what you chose 1866 is as fast as you'll ever get them going on your amd rig. However either of those kits should do 1866 CL 8 with no major issue. It is still possible your 6300 can't even run 2 sticks at 1866, but most can.

thanks I think I will be going with the G.Skill Ares F3-2133C9D-8GAB my only concerns are if the low profile heatsink would be an issue compared to the sniper and ripjaws equivalents, and if the timing of the ares is good for gaming

The heatspreader will not be an issue, in this particular case the ares are as good they make some cheaper high timing ares but these are a good kit. I spend enough time with Gskill ram (I'm on their forums too) that I can read a parts number and know what they are I dont' have ot look em up anymore. I assume you're comfortable enough in bios to set them to 1866, and use something like 8-9-9-26 timings?

for example the ares you bought are 2133 MHz, CL9

THe ares kits right below are 1600 CL9... that is a pretty massive quality difference.
