Ridiculous temperatures when overclocking my 3570k

Hi

Yesterday I tried overclocking my 3570k, had it at 4.3ghz, and my temperatures were soaring to 100+ degrees celcius. Surely thats not normal? Last time I overclocked I managed 4.4 ghz at 1.35v, but this time I had to bump it to 1.4 just to get it to boot up, and even then the prime95 test barely lasted a minute before crashing. What could be the issue here? I'm pretty sure my PSU is fine, I've never had an issue with it. Motherboard is a Asus P8Z77-V LX. I have a Corsair H55 cooler equipped for this also.

Thanks!

Any possibility you water is not flowing properly? IS there any way for you to verify that the pump is getting the proper voltage ( operating at the proper RPM ) and the water is actually flowing. Sounds like a problem with the cooler! Bring the CPU back to stock and see if the normal temps are higher than they used to be! IF the radiator feels cool while the CPU is cooking then the water is definitely not flowing.

Ticking noise is really loud if i take off the side of the case.. Radiator feels cool to the touch, the pump itself is warm. HWMonitor says its operating at 1535 RPM, 36c , currently idling. From memory this seems to be slightly higher than what it used to be, used to be around 30-32c. Tapping against the pump unit makes it stop, but starts ticking loudly again when i stop tapping it. It started doing it this morning, then it stopped after about half an hour, and now at night its started doing it again...

sound like something clogged or the pump blade not seated properly (Loose) or something like that...
when the noise gone, is the temp going better?

I'm not knowledgeable in WC setup, will wait other opinion
(but going to do it next year :D, waiting the parts to arrive)

Well, I removed the radiator as suggested, the problem was this: http://imgur.com/25iTpnV

Anyway, is it normal to have to bump up to almost 1.4v just to achieve 4.3ghz? I've searched and searched but haven't been able to find a beginners guide particular to my mother board, as I don't have ASRock which is what a lot of guides tend to base off.

Thanks!
