Hello

Recently purchased an xbox one, attempting to use it with my 24inch monitor, display works fine.

The problem is , the monitor doesn't have speakers, and it doesn't have any other input to add speakers to it.

My question is, is there a way to plug speakers into xbox ? theres a 3.5mm jack but it doesn't work with anything ive tried!

any advise please :(

There is an S/PDIF output on the Xbox One, so you would need speakers compatible with that type of connection. Or, you can get an S/PDIF converter to make it compatible with your speaker setup.

Yeah that $500 price tag is a bit steep, for sure.

This SHOULD work for the Xbox One. The Xbox One outputs in LPCM from what I can find, so it should work just fine. Someone in the question and answer section said it works for his powered speaker set up, so I should think it would work for you.

I have this cord to connect to my speaker system and it's only 7 bucks: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00016W6Y6/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

connects from spdif port right to your system if you've got an aux in (female). If not, no problem. Just buy a female to female 3.5mm adapter. Hope this helps.
