Alternatively, you can:

1.Go into your steam library
2. Right Click counter strike
3. Click on properties
4.Click set launch options
5. Write " -w 1280 -h 720 " without the quotes. OR write in what your native screen resolution is, such as " -w 1366 -h 768 "

all games (that i have played, and im not young anymore hehe), it is under settings or options. It is not hard to find, just start the game and check settings or options (or something similar). Inside, it would be under Display or video. give it a shot
