MSI HD 7870 Twin Frozr III running extremely loud, but not particularly hot

Hi guys,

I have got a HD 7870 from MSI and since i installed my new CPU cooler today (Cooler Master TX3 Evo) My GPU has got incredibly loud. It might be, because of that the card doesn't work in the first PCI-E slot, but only in the second, makes him nearly touch the PSU, what also has a cooler. Can someone please help, it is incredibly annoying!

PC Specs:
i7 2600 3,4GHz
Cooler Master K380
Cooler Master TX3 EVO
Cooler Master B700 power supply
ASUS Sabertooth P67 REV3.0
8GB RAM
MSI RADEON HD 7870 TWIN FROZR III OC 2GB Edition

My first suggestion would be to install MSI Afterburner and check whether the GPU fans are set to max. If that doesn't work then try resetting the card back to it's factory settings.

MSI afterburner says that they are just on regular speed. And how do i reset the GPU? Btw, after uninstalling the PSU and putting in on the case instead of within, the GPU fans are very silent now...
