Hello guys, I just bought a new MSI r9 280x twin frozr, i have a problem with this card overclocking, I can't seem to adjust my clockspeed to more than 1050, it will always crash if i go beyond 1050. i even adjust my voltage to 1.2v and it didn't help at all. i had an asus gtx 760 directcu ii and i got no problem overclocking it. i thought that r9 280x overclocks well, and i see people overclock their 280x even up to 1200mhz.another problem is even in default clock, my game(dota 2) stutters. idk why, i never had this problem with my previous cards. i hope you guys can help me. thanks in advance.

Try uninstalling the GPU driver, run CCleaner to remove all traces of the AMD and previous nVidia driver, then do a fresh install of the latest AMD driver again. When switching brands it's important to get all of the old driver out. Just uninstalling it doesn't always remove it entirely and what's left behind tends to cause problems.

set the Power target to MAX
and increase the voltage little bit .....more

Use GPU-Z and monitor the temperature using stress test .......
