Hi, I am currently looking for a headset. I heard that USB head sets come with there own sound card driver, which is better for computers with bad sound cards or bad onboard sound. I have an asus h87m-e motherboard with Realtek® ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC. Would a headset with a USB connection be better or worse in terms of sound quality, compare to if I use a 3.5mm headset?
Also, any recommendations for a headset (preferably with a mic) for £100 or less?
Was going to go with the steelseries siberia v2 (USB or 3.5mm depending on what I get told is better for my onboard sound) however I recently heard about the sennhieser pc 360s. Found them on the American amazon for around $160 whih works out at around £100-£120, yet on the uk amazon it's going for £170?
