MSI 2GB GTX 770 OC Edition underperforming?

My GTX 770 seems to be underpeforming, I have just upgraded from a 650 ti but haven't really seem the jump in FPS that i expected.
I ran the Uniengine Valley benchmark and achieved a score of 1688, which i have been led to believe is low for this card.

-I have the latest drivers installed.

PC Specs:
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Processor- Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz

Motherboard- Asus P6X58D-E

Memory- Kingston Hyper X 6GB DDR3 (Triple Channel)

Graphics- MSI Geforce GTX 770 2G OC Edition

PSU - Fractal Design Integra Series - 650 Watt 80 PLUS

Any advice or opinions on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe!! cause your cpu is 4 years old!! right now the i5 4570/4670 is more powerful than yours even the amd fx 6xxx series is same or better than yours!! And your cpu is a quad core not a 8-core.... it has 4-core and 8-threads. And most of all intel doesn't have 8-core cpus... it has 2, 4, and 6-core cpus!!!
