Hey!

I am currently building a PC in which I intend to put an aftermarket R9 290. However, I am not sure which is the best option out of the following offerings:

MSI:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-239-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

Asus: (should they launch a directcu ii r9 290 - I believe only the r9 290x has appeared thus far)

Sapphire:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-341-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

Gigabyte:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-133-GI&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752

I have already pre-ordered the MSI card, however I can of course change this, should it be a poor decision on my behalf.

Any guidance will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you kind people!

Personally, I'd get either the Asus or the Sapphire version, depending on the price. The reason I wouldn't choose MSI is because the MSI R9 280X is not very good at cooling, so maybe the R9 290 is going the same route. However there's no confirmation of that, I'm just supposing.

sapphire rear heat blower is only for show some say and asus pipeline is not connected to all components
but for lower temperature both are great
asus hits 74 and sapphire hits 72
but as given in asus website they have upgraded components for better quality dont lnow about sapphire trix

asus has gpu tweak which is better than sapphire trix utility
but in VRM tempratures sapphire WINS by 12 and 30 degres less than asus even asus uses digi and VRM with super alloy coating.asus has Bios switch if you like it both are great.
quick recap
for temp sapphire
for utility asus
for size asus
IMO temp is big problem so i will go with sapphire TRIX
