Hello , I just want to ask if the MSI 970A G46 Motherboard, AMD FX 6300 6 core 3,5 GHz CPU and the MSI GTX 660 2gb gddr5 are a good combination for gaming and I want to make sure that if I upgrade to these my games will run fast with much FPS and without lag

Solution

Sorry, fixed that. Meant 970.

And yes, its VERY bad.

Here is an interesting thread about it :

Nope. The MSI 970 chipset boards are all really bad. It SHOULD work fine with a 6 core but they are still very bad quality and if you ever were to upgrade to a 8 core CPU you would have issues or worries.

So get a better board. Like an Asus M5A97 R2.0.

Although not normally one of my first brand choices, check out one of the Biostar TA970 boards. They are typically inexpensive, and the spreadsheet doesn't note any of them for problems. ASRock has some decent choices too, BUT make sure it's a true 900-series variant. Their 960, 980, and even the 970DE are actually 700-series chipset boards.

Wow , I didn't thought that it's so bad , but is the AMD FX 6300 going to work without problems on 2x2 GB 1333MHz ram , if i buy this motherboard I won't have more pocket money , so , would I be able to play games and use my computer normally with 4gb ram?

well, you'll get what you pay for..better buy something a little more pricier, but you can optimize your processor on it, rather than buy a cheaper but troublesome board..

yeah, even biostar ta970 is better than that msi g46 board..:D
Asrock Pro3 970 is a good choice too..but remember, both of board is rather low quality unit. Don't overclock your processor too high on it, run in stock clock, and you'll be fine..

Well , the ASUS M5A97R2 would be better becouse it has 2 PS/2 connectors so I don't have to buy a new mouse or keyboard , but the GA 970A UD3 has a front panel connecter color coded so it would be easier to install , and it has more USB3.0 connectors , but what do u think? Which one is better?

I can vouch for the Asrock board, as i have it in my PC, hardly any flex with a coolermaster V8. and supports up to 140w TBP Processors, and also i can vouch for the 6300, great CPU, as i have it
