Hello,
I recently decided to buy myself for my birthday another graphics card, Sapphire HD 7850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168..., and I used crossfire. I know crossfire is working I have all the drivers and everything I need for that such as AMD Catalyst which tells me they are both working and I can read the different temps for both cards. However, this morning I brought my computer out of sleep and just watched some south park studios while eating breakfast. Both my cards were at 55 degrees C and I thought that was a little cause for concern. I figure that this is high for just running firefox. I have Windows 7 64-bit and a 750 power supply. My case is a Rosewill, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... I have a 120mm blowing in on the front, one blowing air out the back and two 140 mm side by side and the side of the case. I also have one blowing air in on the bottom of the case because I put the case on it's side. Everything was cool when running just one card and last night I also played Far cry 3:Blood Dragon on Ultra with the hottest card reaching only 74 degrees. I was just curious if I have my fans setup badly, if I need a bigger case, or if there is something else I need to pay attention to! Also when my cards were at 55 degrees my CPU was around 32 degrees. Thanks for your time!

Might be a fan curve. I would re-do it on afterburner or another program like that. The card isn't hot under load so it isn't a heatsink/fan problem.

55 degrees idle is pretty high especially for a video card. 74 on load on the other hand isn't. Maybe you can tweak your fan speeds with MSI afterburner or a similar program.

Yeah, I thought about that! I was using speedfan to determine the temperature, however when I saw that it was really hot I thought it was just the program itself so I checked the AMD Catalyst and it had the same temp. I don't know what it is, but when I take my computer out of sleep it tends to run them hotter. After I restart and don't put into sleep they stay cool around the same as my CPU so I don't know what's going on there. I just discovered this at lunch today.
