I currently run a 4 year old gts 250 and its still serving me well for 4 years and going. Right now I want to increase my productivity in video editing using sony vegas 12. According to its specs it fully supports opencl and was wondering if I could still keep my nvidia card for my monitor but use a firepro card for gpu accelerated editing and rendering in SV12.

cpu: i7 860 (stock)
mobo: asus p7p55d
gpu: palit gts 250
psu: thermaltake 850w

No. You're going to need two computers or just get a GTX 780.
