Hey -
Thanks in advance for any help.
So I had a stable overclock with the following specs:
CPU: Haswell 4770K - @ 4.5ghz (1.22vcore)
Mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
Ram: 2x4gb GSKILL Ripjaw X
SSD: 256 GB
GPU: GTX 770 w/ 2GB ram
PSU: 620W Seasonic
Max temps running prime95 were around 85-90. Average around 60-70.
So I decided I wanted to adjust the setup so it could handle 5760x1200 and the gtx 770 just wasn't really cutting it, so changed the system to the following:
CPU: Same - 4770K
MOBO: Same - MSI Z87-G45
Ram: 2x4gb GSKILL RIPJAW X + 2x8gb GSKILL RIPJAWS
SSD: Same - 256 GB
GPU: 2xGTX 780 w/3gb ram
PSU 1200W Seasonic
Now, I can get the CPU running at 4.5GHz but temps are not stable - shoots right up to 90-100 right off the bat... I'm getting more stable temperatures around 4.2Ghz (1.13vcore) - is this normal? Did adding a second video card change the load on the CPU? Any suggestions to try and get this thing back around 4.5Ghz?
Thanks.
