Hello,
I am wondering if I should overclock my GPU (MSI GTX 760) and I really need help deciding.
The GPU is factory overclocked to 1215mhz, with memory runnig at stock.
I have only overclocked once before (a CPU overclock), so I would appreciate help.
I just wanted to know - will overclocking from 1215 mhz will really make a noticable difference?
Thank you

Sure. You will see very limited improvements - don't think your 760 will be a 780 with overclocking. If you are worried, realize most people do it just for bragging rights, not performance. I very, very, very rarely do it. On a recent card I gained 3 fps with a 7% overclock. It was less than earth shattering....

The problem is I am worried about the risk
Can I actually do harm to it?
I can increase power up to 12mv higher.
From what I saw in many sites (including here) most cards can get to around 1280mhz base clock.
No idea on the memory.
Should I still do it?
thanks

Hello everyone,
I decided to listen to your suggestions and, well, results are great.
I reached a 1306mhz (!) core clock and 6750 on memory.
All tested and stable. About 5fps increase.
I was afraid it would be a long, complicated proccess like CPU overclocking.
Thank you all very, very much.

That's more than I expected you to get, but glad you did. Looking back, it wasn't terribly hard was it?

No, not at all.
I was sure it was like CPU overclocking, otherwise I would've never hesitated in the first place.
1306mhz, however, became unstable after a while, so now I'm running at 1280mhz.
Still very nice, though.
Thanks again for all your help
