FX6300 vs FX6350 vs FX8320

I'm building a budget gaming pc and I had decided on the FX6300 but I now have an extra £40 to £50 and I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading to an FX6350 or an FX8320. It looks like there's very little difference between the FX6300 and FX6350 but I was wondering how much better performance I would get on games like BF4 and Rome 2 with the the FX6350/FX8320 and whether it would be worth the extra £10/£30. Also, would I need an aftermarket CPU cooler for the FX8320?

This is the rest of the build:
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0
RAM: 2X4GB Kingston HYPER-X GENESIS
GPU; 2GB RADEON R9 270X
Hard Drive: 1TB WD Caviar Black
PSU: Corsair VS-450

More cores ofcourse, and It's going to be better in the long run. You might be able to upgrade to a good/decent GPU in the future and It's almost certain it won't bottleneck with an FX8320.

But if you're looking into a good performance gaming PC right now while being on a budget; Get the FX6300 with a good GPU (Example: R9 270x, HD 7870 Ghz Edition). If you're looking to upgrade soon but aren't able to spend a lot yet, get the FX8320 with an average CPU (Example: GTX650 TI, HD 7790 1GB, HD 7850 1GB).

Remember that your PSU is the most important thing for your PC...

the 8320 would be better if you had a cooler so you could oc it like a hyper 212 evo but if you dont want to spend more 6350 is good. i heard that games may start using the extra cores but have'nt looked into it so couldnt tell you :p

If you have the extra quid, get these instead - much better gaming experience, and lower power consumption.

You won't need an aftermarket cooler, since you can't overclock, but that i5 is still as fast as a 4.5GHz FX-8350 in games - faster in some.

There is really no point in upgrading from FX6300 to FX6350, but if you can get FX8320, then that would be worth while.

However i would keep the FX6300 and upgrade my PSU to XFX Core Pro 550W or 650W first and then maybe look into getting an aftermarket cooler for it like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO listed above. That VS-450 is not very good at all.

It's not a bad PSU, and 34A is plenty for the 270X and any CPU, even overclocked. The i5 I suggested would be the best choice, and then you really don't have to worry about power.

Remember that your PSU is the most important thing for your PC. I'd suggest you to get one with atleast 500W, preferably 550W if you're going with an FX6300/8320 Processor. Don't consider an FX6350.
