Hey guys, I'm still not getting any display on either of my monitors, or HD TV. Before linking the forum post with all those steps to follow, please know I have gone through it already. I've also taken my computer apart out of the case, and tried running it with the MOBO out on top of the box, with and without the gpu connected.

I've also tried 3 different monitors using DVI, VGA and HDMI connectors. I tried connecting a speaker to the MOBO, and still get no beep when booting up.

Again, I've also tried 2 different graphics cards both in the 2 different slots on the MOBO, also.. both fans on the graphics cards still spin. (not simultaneously)

My Graphics Card: Zotac GTX 650 TI

My Processor: AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor

MOBO: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Power Supply: CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX650 650W ATX12V/EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC High Performance Power Supply

(Not sure if this matters, but when I boot the computer, the psu fan starts for about 3 seconds, and then stops completely.. but all the other fans remain spinning)

Here's 8 pictures of my set-up while it's not in the case (Note that the graphics card I have set up in these pictures is not the GTX 650 TI that I listed above, it is the other one I tried)

I did what you said and turned it on with only the CPU & Fan connected. I got no beep out of the speaker (never have) and made sure the negatives and positives were correct. The fan does spin when I turn it on.

The psu fan also starts, but then stops completely after 5-7 seconds.

I'm surprised nobody discussed this yet. Check your RAM to see if it's seated properly and in the recommend population slot based on your motherboard manual. Typically if the RAM isn't seated right of if it's defective, system will power on, but video will not display. If you have a known good RAM that is compatible with the motherboard, test that out to see if that's the culprit.

How can I check if my ram is compatible with the MOBO? Also, I tried a different CPU that works fine and still nothing. I've pretty much tried 2 of everything and still no go.

If you have a way of checking, I'm using a Viper XTREME PX38G1600C11 (8GB) Ram, with a MSI 990FXA-GD65

Thanks for replying mate.

When starting the board with only CPU and CPU fan installed, if there's a case speaker connected to the motherboard, you should get the beeps signaling RAMs missing. This way you'd know that board and CPU do work.
Are both 24 and 4/8 pin power cables connected to the motherboard? Is the CPU fan spinning when starting the board?

I haven't gotten beeps from either of the MOBO's I've tried, and I have a speaker plugged in. Possibly a faulty speaker? but I don't think so since I'm not getting any signal on my monitor. My guess is I may have bent a pin on the processor, I was kind of rough putting it in since the latch's were so damn hard to latch on. Yes both cables are connect and the CPU fan spins fine.
