I have a Sabertooth 990FX/Gen3 R2.0. On initial boot, can I use the boot menu function to select to boot from a WD Raptor or from a Samsung 840 Pro series SSD? I have Windows 7 Pro x64 on the 300 Gig Raptor, and Windows 8.1 Pro x64 on the 128Gig Samsung 840 Pro series ssd. Any ideas or suggestions???

You would have to go into the BIOS and tell your motherboard which drive to boot with.
On my motherboard, i can press F12 and choose which drive to use or go into the BIOS and set the priorities manually.
The option should be in the boot category.

If you look around in your bios setup utility, you should find an option allowing you to change your hard drive's boot priority.
The hard drive you chose to load first will be the one used to boot.

Thanks for the quick reply however, I may have not stated the question properly. I want to be able to use both Operating systems at different times, maybe even on the same day. When the system boots I want to be able to select "at that time" which operating system I want to boot to. Can I select which drive to boot from using the F8/Boot Menu? I am using Windows 7 most of the time, but I am using Windows 8.1 to ensure that all of my programs and hardware function properly before I make the "final plunge".
