Light bleed. Time to return or time to look for a different monitor?

Looks more like glow than bleed. If you move your head right to left, or up or down, does it get better/worse? If it does, its glow, if it doesn't, its bleed.

Glow is 100% normal, every panel put out by the manufacturer will have it exactly the same. Bleed, not so much. It is normal for a panel to have some bleed, but they are usually quality controlled to not have excessive bleed, every panel will have bleed in different places, or not at all if you are extremely lucky.

I do see glow. When you look at it from angles the corner opposite of your line of sight slighlty glows. This is familiar to me. However, no matter what angle you look from the lower left corner stays noticeably bright. Brighter than any of the edge glow.

Return it if it bothers you then, I've dealt with Asus CS for monitors before and they were pretty good, swapped two monitors for minor issues in no time at all, even give you the new monitor on collection of the old one so no downtime without a monitor.

Second monitor wasn't much better. Thinking, screen glow, which I can't seem to stand, is an ips problem right? So if I wanted to havea large monitor for media w/o glow how would this monitor do?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236302

I believe that monitor is the same line as my current monitor only significantly larger (21 to 27) so ifi can expect similar quality only with supposedly 8 times greater contrast then I'll have to look into it. The gama people talk about Newberry bothered me. So If you stand at a sharp angle the screen turns whitesh. Screen s at an angle bother me almost as much as the glow. I tend to look straight on.

I think my local best buy has a few 27s. One should be a TN that I can look at. Didn't pay attention to them other than a bunch were below 10 contrast. I'll check it out. My 21 has a tiny bit of glow/discoloration around the edges that s hardly noticeable.

After a year has anyone found out any more information on this issue. I am very curious about it as well. Funny how ips display always advertised with o awesome viewing angle and image and great colors. Yeah but you got this stupid shifting glow all around the edges and sometimes all over the display.
