I have a Asus GeForce GT630, just a cheap one that i bought temporarily.
Im using msi afterburner to overclock it, but i dont see any difference on the games i play.
I was moving the bars on the program just a bit, but when i moved them to the max, the temperature just went from 40º to 30º which i suppose it should have increased.

so is the gpu getting oc'ed or not?

Hmm, interesting question. Not sure the GT630 can be overclocked, not really intended for the enthusiast.

A temperature decrease probably meant that if you had managed to increase the voltage and clock frequency it was self-throttling to protect itself.

Given the capabilities of the GPU in the first place, I doubt you would notice a whole lot of change even if you did manage to overclock it. Performance from NVidia really starts with the GTX series, for recent equipment that would be the GTX650, GTX650 Ti, GTX650Ti Boost, GTX660, and GTX760.
