Okay so I recently picked up this computer from my father because he said that it wouldn't work. So I got it home, hooked it up, and turned it on. It immediately took me to a black screen listing all PCI Device Listings and at the bottom it is displaying Disk Boot Failure. I am currently stuck in the situation where I don't have any of the installation disks. Sooooo, I was wondering if there is anything I could do to bypass this screen to get the computer to go to the windows screen? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I'm saying its almost certain the HD is shot, but a disc might let you reformat and reuse the HD, however I would only do this if a HD was more than I could afford as usually when it fails once it will fail again eventually.

So are you saying that the Hard Drive is shot or do you think that I just need another windows disc?
