AMD driver won't uninstall

Hi, I just got my 2 r9 280x and upgrading the drivers (Win 8) has been a bit of a hassle. First I tried simply installing the new driver (13.12) over the one I had from my HD 6950 (13.4), everything seemed to install properly but no reboot was requested after the install, still I did.
Then trying to load BF4 i got a message asking me to upgrade the driver to the latest since 13.4 might have issues.
So I read a bit and tried using AMD's recommendation:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx. It did apparently perform an uninstall, but the lack of a reboot request caught my eye again, a quick glance at GPU-Z confirmed 13.4 was still in there. Reboot. Nothing...
So I gave the good old REVO a try but it doesn't run the uninstaller, just the scan for registry keys.

At this point I am out of ideas (other than a clean OS install, which I want to avoid for now) and would very much appreciate some help from you guys.
