Hey I just plugged in my new FX 8320 and its running at 3.8 all the time. I was thinking this might be the boost or something but why does it stay there all the time? I have yet to do any overclocking but my Phenom 2 965 BE, that was in here, was OC'ed. do i need to reset my bios?

You can try that. What is your motherboard? Are you using the same board that you used with your overclocked Phenom II. If so it probably is using the overclocked settings on your FX. You will have to reset the BIOS to clear the old overclocked settings.

If you did not reset the BIOS to defaults the motherboard is most likely trying to use the overclock settings from the old CPU if you are using the same board and did not reset the settings.
