I need a new power supply because my old one broke and i need some advice because i did some research on a couple and found out from the reviews that most of them broke within a month or a year. I want a long lasting PSU that has at least 500 watts.

The one i found that had good reviews was:
Antec TruePower 550-Watt Power Supply
And
ARK ARK550 Black ATX 12V 550W Computer Power Supply

Here is a picture of what the power supplys looks like:

And

My budget is at least $29 but i think that i would be able to get enough to buy this one. But i still want a professional's advice.

The pins on my motherboard are 20/24 just to be more specific.

Sorry, but you're going to need to increase your budget for a power supply.

Two Rules:

1) Buy Quality - The power supply is the most important component of your entire computer system. Purchasing a lower quality power supply could not only lead to system crashes and unexpected reboots, but upon failure, could also take other components with it. Quality manufacturers I would trust include: Antec, Corsair, PC Power and Cooling, FSP (Fortran Source), and Seasonic.

2) Buy New - There are probably millions of honest and hard working people out there trying to sell their used components in great working condition. There are probably just as many (if not more) people out there who have abused and all but destroyed their components and are now trying to pass them on to you as "slightly used". The problem is, you can never tell who is who.

While I would normally approve the purchase of the Antec Tru-Power 550, given that it's used, I wouldn't touch it with a 10' HDMI cable.
