Hello I got a Dell Optiplex GX620 that is running Lubuntu(I plan on changing to a different distro). It has a Intel Pentium D running at 2.80GHz (no over clock), 4GB of RAM and a pitiful 250w PSU. Right away I upgraded the PSU to 500W (550W max) and I want to git a new graphics card. I need a graphics card that can play games like Gmod and Minecraft (in 720p) but I would like to know what the max graphics card I could install would be. I have no real price range, I don't think this rig could handle a card that cost $300. :)

Ok, you don't really need a card that costs 300$ for Garry's Mod and Minecraft. I would suggest you go for the Radeon HD 7850 for 150$ will run those games fine at max settings. If you really want to you could go for the more expensive card - GTX 760 for 230$ which would allow you to have shaders on Minecraft (that's what I use).

do you think these card would be bottle necked my the CPU? And I just realized I don't think those card would fit in this case...
( it has a PCI Express x16 connector (SLOT1) for graphics)

You'll be CPU bound with most any card you choose.

I was recently told that since minecraft is java based it relies much more on cpu than graphics card (not that a good card wouldn't help). You may want to look at the gtx 650ti boost 2GB. They're awesome cards at a great price, usually around $150, and in different sizes. I have the 2GB sc edition and love it.
