Hi!

A random person sent me a message sending me a link saying that their friend wanted to add me for a trade, so at quick glance I though it started with steamcommunity.com so I click on the link and click add friend...nothing happened, so I looked at the top and saw that I wasn't logged in, so I click to login and then I note the website, it wasn't steam community, it was missing a letter, so I close out of it and I did not enter my username and password. So, how can I find out if my account was stolen or not? I haven't noted any strange activity on my account and I have already changed the password. Is their any more steps I should do?

Thanks

Most fake steam sites that ive seen merely just capture your login info so if u didn't actually log in you should be alright but so long as u have a decent anti-virus you'll be fine

Hi!

Thanks for your response, Im not totally worried about that OS, I recently installed it and I'm happy to do so again, Im actually on the same computer right now, just on a different partition. So is their anything I can do about my personal information to make sure its secure?

Thank you!

Would it be beneficial to the community to report this hacker and tell steam about the fake link?(I have a copy of the link)

Thanks again for your answer

im pretty sure u just go to the profile of who ever was trying it find the report button and do user misconduct and give them the link. Atleast thats what a forum mod told me ages ago
