So my dad handed over his ASUS desktop to me and my brother is giving me his GTX 560 ti (2GB) and I just recently bought myself a new 500W PSU and decided to upgrade the standard 4GB ram to these pretty things since they were on sale for $57

Im wondering if it is at all possible to use that ram's intended speed with my ASUS p8h61-m PRO mobo. It seems all the OC functions are locked up and the ram is running at the standard 1333MHz. Do i need to get another motherboard that can support it or can I find myself a new unlocked BIOS chip to replace? Or is there something else I can do?

Any help would be appreciated.

ps. If the only way to use the full speed is to buy a new supported motherboard, then i'm not going to bother with it.

Solution
From ASUS:
2 x DIMM, Max. 16GB, DDR3 1333/1066 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel Memory Architecture

Not sure if a unlocked BIOS (assuming that the desktop was bought as an ASUS system/barebone and therefore the locked BIOS settings) would allow you running the RAMs at a higher speed and I wouldn't recommend it anyway.
Increasing the RAMs speed wouldn't bring a significant improvement regarding the system performance.
