Hi, I'm planning on a NAS setup but on a tight budget. I am looking at a 2-bay NAS with 2x2TB HDDs. The data won't be critical so I was planning on just doing a Raid 0. In that situation would it be possible to buy one drive now and the other later or would that work? I was thinking worst case scenario would be maybe having to reformat the 1st drive when adding the 2nd at a later time. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Nope, RAID 0 needs both drives present to create the array. You could use one and then backup the data and create the array later.
