Looking for a good 1080p monitor for gaming and video editing.

Right now I'm looking for a new monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 for my new PC build. It's going to be the primary display monitor with my current monitor (resolution 1440 X 900) acting as a secondary display. This new build is focused on gaming, but I will also be using it for movies and video editing. That being said, I'd prefer to have a 23 inch monitor with high contrast, a refresh rate of 60hz, and an HDMI plug while keeping the price ~$200. There's still a lot of monitors that fit the aforementioned criteria though, so I was hoping if some of you fine folks wouldn't mind sharing any of your previous experiences with a certain monitor or a certain brand that you think would work well for me. I would very much appreciate your opinions.
