Normal northbridge temps?

Since ive purchased my computer ive noticed a obvious temperature difference in Speedfan, with everything else at idle around 20-30 and Temp 2 around 40+, reading mid 70 (Celsius by the way) under full load. Im guessing its the northbridge, someone shed some light on this, so I can figure out how to reduce them.

There seems to be multiple threads about your motherboard's northbridge temps becoming extremely hot. Other say that it should be fine unless you start experiencing issues eg. Crashes, BSoD's, etc.

Northbridge normally doesn't run that hot. Did you overclock anything eg. CPU, RAM, GPU, etc.? If it doesn't lower the temperatures after going back to stock voltages, then your motherboard is defective. Also, do you live close to the equator, it tends to get really hot now.

Im from New Zealand, so yeah, its summer at the moment. Although I dont think that would be effecting it, as I have had this computer through the winter period, where it still ran hot. Id like to think it isnt a defective motherboard, and no the computer is not overclocked in anyway, I did however change the ram profile to extreme, but have changed back to default since then.

I know this post is really old but to anyone else with this problem, yes northbridge runs hot on this chipset even under normal circumstances.
It's only when u OC that u need to be concerned.
I'm using topdown air and run my fx 6300 @ 4.6. 24 7. All day, all night. Nb Temps can hit 70c and chip don't care.
U have to watch VRM temps. That's what'll make it throttle down.

Very outdated tips....
