Whether quality of video & still photography of panasonic camcorder HC-V110 is comparable to Advance point & shoot camera Nikon coolpix L820. I want to have the camcorder as it is small & light in weight and hence easy to handle.

Solution
If you plan on shooting more video than pictures I suggest you get a camcorder. If you are going to shoot short video clips then the Nikon Coolpix L820 should be fine. After looking at the specs for each I see the Panasonic HC-V110 has a much smaller sensor than the Nikon Coolpix L820 and that will make a difference in image quality. A higher sensor size usually equates to better quality images. If you want a camcorder with a slightly larger sensor than the Panasonic you might want to look at the Canon VIXIA HF R400 Full HD Camcorder (currently on sale at B&H and Amazon for $199).
