i guess it depends... on 2 things:
1) if you don't think the reference is too noisy and it doesn't throttle too much there's no reason to do anything.
2) if you dont have 2 empty slots between the used pci ex (as in, room for a 3 slot card) then the cooler won't fit
other than this, it should work better compared to the stock as long as you install it properly:
