Does your connection to your ISP go down on the modem (or router)?
What is the speed of your internet connection?

This could be a line issue.
If your connection speed maxes out near 4Mbps and the line has too much noise or attenuation it may cause the connection to drop.
If your connection speed is way higher like 10Mbps and the connection drops, it may be a router issue.

In the first case you should call your ISP and have them check out the connection.
In the second case could try to update the routers firmware. If there is no newer FW than the one you have installed then you could re-flash it.
